As a music teacher, it is my belief that all students have a natural capacity for music, and through my teaching I hope to offer the opportunity to discover and explore their innate potential as musicians. By using a variety of teaching methods tailored to meet the needs of each individual student, I am able to provide quality music instruction in a positive and supportive environment by carefully and thoughtfully considering the needs and interests of each individual student. My students range in age from infants in my family music classes to retired adults. Some pursue lessons for their own personal enrichment, while others have gone on to successfully pursue a career in music. I find great joy in working with such a range of student interests and abilities.
1. Students and visitors (over age 2) are required to masks during all lessons and classes.
If students are unable to wear a mask for any reason, just let me know and we can switch to virtual lessons on Zoom.
2. Please do NOT attend lessons or classes if feeling unwell.
If you/your child has been feeling unwell, we please contact me with as much notice as possible. Piano students will switch to virtual lessons on Zoom. Family Music students will be sent a link to a private recording after class. Also, if I or anyone in my home has been unwell I will notify you that lessons will meet virtually for that day.
3. All visitors are asked to wash their hands or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer upon arrival at the studio.
In the interest of everyone's wellbeing, all students, parents, and siblings must wash or sanitize their hands prior to the commencement of the lessons. Likewise I will also wash/sanitize their hands in between every lesson I teach during the day.
4. Any student who has had close contact with a person with confirmed coronavirus must contact us and discontinue in-person piano lessons for a period of 14 days.
Any person who has had close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis must undertake self-isolation for a period of 14 days. Online piano lessons will be offered in this case.
